St. Ignatius, Martyr, Catholic School will celebrate the feast day of our patron with a Mass at 8:15 AM on Wednesday, October 17, 2007.  Saint Ignatius of Antioch, was a bishop of the early Church who was appointed by Saint Peter himself.  Saint Ignatius wrote these inspiring words: "I live now not with my own life, but Christ who lives within me.  I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and sacrificed himself for me."  Saint Ignatius, Martyr died for this in the year 107 AD.

Parent Teacher Conferences & Report Card Distribution will be held on October 17 & 18, 2007. The Teachers have sent home an appointment sign up sheets.

If you cannot make your appointment please call the office to reschedule. Report Cards will not be released to families with past due accounts including those who owe for detentions, lunchs, library books, etc. Once all accounts are brought up to date, families can pick up their report cards in the main office

Catholicism is based on Scripture, yet many Catholics know very little about the Bible. To help Catholics learn more about sacred Scripture, Bishop Gregory Aymond will present "The Word Dwells Among Us" at St. Ignatius, Martyr, Catholic Church on October 17th and 18th the celebration of the Year of the Word.

The first date is the bishop's presentation and the second is the evening of reflection offered by Patricia Stankus and Cheryl Maxwell. All presentations begin at 7 p.m. Simultaneous Spanish interpretation will be available.

BOO! Don’t be Scared! The St. Ignatius, Martyr, annual Halloween Carnival will be held FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26th! This yearly festival of THINGS THAT GO BUMP in the night, is thrilling, chilling fun for the entire family! Join us for fun game booths (sponsored by all classes–parents, check with your class homeroom parents) snacks, a school-wide costume contest and if you’re brave enough, the return of THE HALL OF HORROR! (sponsored by the 8th Grade and Ms. Tilney’s Kindergarten class). The St. Ignatius Halloween Carnival is free to all… The Hall of Horror has a $1.00 admission fee. (all proceeds benefit the 8th Grade Graduation)
