Toros Head Coach Quin Snyder and the entire Toros team personally invite you to celebrate National Catholic Schools Week. ALL St. Ignatius Catholic School students along with their friends and family are cordially invited to join the Toros as they take on the Utah Flash.
Have the kids high-five the players during the introductions down on the court. Free autographs after the game. Free interactive Kid's Zone. Support the St. Ignatius Pep Squad and Spirit Squad as they perform during half-time of the Toros game.

The St. Ignatius, Martyr, Catholic School 8th Grade Class (class of 2008) will be holding Garage Sale to raise funds for graduation. They will also be selling delicious baked goods as well as other food items.
The Knights of Columbus Council 10131 will host their annual Casino Night on February 02, 2008. This fun event will take place at the Father Gene Dore Family center located on the grounds of St. Ignatius Martyr Parish. Funds raised will help council 10131 support their community, schools, seminarians, ministries through out the Diocese of Austin and St. Ignatius Martyr Parish.
Come to enjoy an evening of Games, Food, Drinks, Raffles every hour, and a chance at the Grand Prize Drawing of a Trip for Two to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Games will include Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, and Poker. There will be hourly Raffles conducted. Your Ticket is your Drawing entry for the Grand Prize. Need not be present to win.
There will be Food available at 6:00 p.m. when the doors open and throughout the Event. Some snacks will also be at no charge. Child care will be available for an additional fee. Tickets for the event will cost $15.00 and Games begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 10:00 p.m. Distribution of Prizes and Drawing of the Grand Prize will then commence. Alcohol will be sold at this event so, please remember to bring proper identification. You must be 21 years of age to enter this event.

The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Blood Drive for the Parish account on February 16, 2008 in the Family Center from 8:00AM until Noon. The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas will once again send a team to screen and draw blood. The life you may be saving is worth the short time and effort it takes to give. Lets show the other Parishes who are conducting Blood Drives that St. Ignatius is a GIVING Parish! If you would like to Donate or have questions you can contact Roger Ibarra, Jr. at 301-4979. or ogerjr@sbcglobal.net and I will get you started.
The St. Ignatius, Martyr, Catholic School class with the most parents donating blood will receive a pizza party.
Due to the expected bad weather, the golf tournament has changed the start time to 10:00am. We will still have the tournament in the cold & rain but not if there is ice or lightning. Bring your umbrella and we will have plenty of coffee to warm you up.
On February 16, 2008 St. Ignatius, Martyr, School will be hosting our first annual Golf Tournament at Plum Creek Golf Course. We still have team and individual spots open so please let your family and friends know. We are also looking for hole sponsors and tournament sponsors. Hole sponsorship is only $100.00 and you get a sign placed at a hole on the course. You can sponsor a hole for your business, or family, or in honor of your children. Call or email Angelica at 762-2901, areyes@st-ignatius.org for hole sponsorship or corporate sponsorship details.
On last item, we need volunteers for the day of the event. If you would like to volunteer please contact Angelica Reyes or Mary Gonzalez to sign up.
All proceeds raised will go towards the purchase of new text books.

And Join the PTO for this NEW SCHOOL EVENT!
We would like the staff, parents, and students to participate in the Celebrate, Texas, Texas Independence Day Parade!
The parade takes place on Saturday, March 1st at 10:30 AM.
The march to the Capital starts at the Ann Richards Bridge (Congress Ave. Bridge) and ends at the Capital gates.
This parade celebrates the independence that Texas won in 1836. Many groups of people, from all walks of life, participate yearly to celebrate the beginning of Texas History Month.
Staff, students, and parents are asked to wear their St. Ignatius gold shirts or white t-shirts with jeans. Jazz up your outfit with a bandana, sheriff's badge, coon skinned cap, or cowboy hat!
Parents must stay and supervise and/or chaperone their own children
Parking is available at the corner of Riverside and Congress in the TX Dot parking lot. Staff, students, and parents are asked to meet as a group beside the Bat sculpture near The Living Room (store) no later than 10:00 AM. There will be some refreshments available for student participants near the Bat sculpture. Port-o-lets will be available.
