Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the Presider in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist during Masses.
Requirements: Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion must be at least 18 years of age and must have received the Sacraments of Initiation, Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation; if married, must be in a valid Catholic marriage; must be a fully initiated registered member of St. Ignatius Parish for at least six months (commissioned ministers transferring from another parish are exempt from the six month requirement).
Training: Must complete formal training required of all ministers of the bread and cup (watch the bulletin for dates and times of upcoming training sessions). Ongoing support and education is available throughout the year.
Time Commitment: Approximately one hour per week with variable frequency
