JustFaith

Offers an intensive education and formation program for people who are interested in social ministry and social justice.

Requirements: A desire to learn more about the Church's social justice tradition; desire for spiritual growth
Time Commitment: A 2 1/2 hr/wk (Mon., 7-9:30 p.m., Oct. – May); retreats, hands on experiences, two hours reading weekly.

JustFaith Program Resumes This Fall

Scripture repeatedly calls us to care for the widows, the orphans and the strangers. Who are these people in our world today? What do I know about them? What does my faith say about my relationship with them?

The JustFaith Program is an intensive thirty-week program that helps to answer these questions through reflection, study, prayer and community. The program will run from October 1st through May 19th. For more information, contact Sean McGuire at 442-3602 or Jack Kern at 320-0996.

Joining JustFaith

For the past few weeks you have read and heard about JustFaith. This is a great program based on the Seven Principles of Catholic Social Justice. This week I share with you the following ideas from the founder of JustFaith, Jack Jezreel.

"Who should take JustFaith? People from a broad spectrum of life, young and old, rural and suburban, a variety of economic groups - a melting pot of possibilities. It is for all who are serious about living their faith and making a difference to make a commitment to doing the program. JustFaith is for those who are seeking a spiritual element in all that they are doing. There are no qualifications for beginning the journey. JustFaith Program Upcoming

What is my responsibility toward the poor? How do I become someone who really cares for and acts on behalf of the poor and the vulnerable? This fall, we are offering a powerful program called JustFaith in our parish. It is designed to help you answer these questions.

JustFaith is a conversion-based process that seeks to integrate personal spirituality and social ministry. The aim of JustFaith is to empower participants to develop a passion and thirst for justice and, after the program, to express this passion in concrete acts of parish social ministry.
