Community Ministry News March 9

Attention lectors: Our regularly scheduled Lector Study Group will meet on Tuesday, March 11th at 6:30 p.m. in the Church. Please come prepared to go over the proclamations for March 15th through April 6th. Thanks for your continued Stewardship to this Ministry.

The Gabriel Project will have their monthly meeting March 9th at 6:15 p.m. in the Father Payne House. Parishioner, Mary Jane Tobar will be speaking about the federal program WIC. Everyone is invited to attend.

Come join us on Thursday, March 13th, 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Rectory Living Room at the Church Office building for Stephen Ministry's Continuing Education Program. The topic is "Pandemic Flu Preparedness" with guest speaker Linda Cox, Austin-Travis County Health and Human Services.

The Stephen Ministry training class has been postponed. There were not enough people who came forward. Stephen Ministry depends on you to meet the needs of those in our faith community who need someone to listen, to care, and to empathize as they face a challenging time in their lives. This one-on-one caring ministry responds according to the number of ministers we have available. Was someone there for you when you needed help and support? Think about returning the favor. For more information, call the Church Office, 442-3602, and a Stephen Leader will contact you.  Read More »
