Greetings and welcome to St. Ignatius, Martyr Church. We congratulate you on your decision to make a commitment to each other through the sacrament of marriage. Your wedding is meant to be a happy and meaningful celebration, one that you will long remember. Your wedding day marks the beginning of this commitment that you will make through the Christian sacrament of marriage. Therefore, we offer these guidelines and instructions to help facilitate your preparation for your life-long commitment of love and fidelity to each other as a married couple, as well as the celebration of the wedding day itself.

A World Wide Marriage Encounter Weekend
MARRIED COUPLES: A World Wide Marriage Encounter weekend is like Spring-time. It's a weekend of fresh air, the rebirth of romance and new beginnings. You are invited to attend the series, "Discovering God's Vision for Your Life: You and Your Spiritual Gifts." Have you ever asked yourself the question "What should I do with my life?" Discover your spiritual gifts and God will show you. Know God's will for your life, learn what makes you unique, develop and use your gifts to carry out God's work in the world. This series of five sessions begins Thursday, April 3rd, from 7:00-9:30 pm in the Family Center. Flyers and registration forms are in the display racks at the doors of the church. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Court #2391, will award a $500 scholarship to a graduating junior high school student who is accepted and will attend a Catholic high school for the Fall semester 2008. A $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a high school graduating senior who is accepted at an accredited college or university and will attend the Fall semester of 2008. Awardees will be picked from those applicants whose family is registered as a member of St. Ignatius, Martyr, parish.
An application form can be picked up in the Church Office, from the parish youth director or St. Ignatius school principal. Completed applications must be delivered to the Church Office no later than March 24, 2008. Read More »
General Parish News Feb. 10
The Community Building and Empowerment team would like to thank everyone who signed on to the Agenda of Issues. Approximately 800 parishioners signed on! If you did not get a chance to sign on and join other members of the congregation in accepting the agenda additional cards are available in the info booths near the bulletins. Please fill out one card per person aged 18 and up and place it in the collection basket. Thank You!
Office volunteer needed: The Church Office is in need of a part time volunteer receptionist. Duties include; data entry, copying, typing, scheduling, assisting parish members and other duties as assigned. Please call Tony at the Church Office for further information.
The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on February 16th, from 8 a.m. till 12 noon in the Family Center. You may schedule an appointment or if you have questions by calling Roger Ibarra, Sr. at 444-1339. The Blood Drive is done through the Central Texas Blood and Tissue Center. Take a break from all the busyness of life and invest a weekend to take your relationship to another level of romance and intimacy.
A Marriage Encounter weekend will be held at St. Ignatius on July 13-15. (Couples go home Friday & Saturday nights)
