St. Ignatius Martyr Parish

The Community Building and Empowerment team would like to thank everyone who signed on to the Agenda of Issues. Approximately 800 parishioners signed on! If you did not get a chance to sign on and join other members of the congregation in accepting the agenda additional cards are available in the info booths near the bulletins. Please fill out one card per person aged 18 and up and place it in the collection basket. Thank You!

Office volunteer needed: The Church Office is in need of a part time volunteer receptionist. Duties include; data entry, copying, typing, scheduling, assisting parish members and other duties as assigned. Please call Tony at the Church Office for further information.

The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on February 16th, from 8 a.m. till 12 noon in the Family Center. You may schedule an appointment or if you have questions by calling Roger Ibarra, Sr. at 444-1339. The Blood Drive is done through the Central Texas Blood and Tissue Center. Please give consideration to this cause.

Lenten Fish Dinners: The Knights of Columbus will again be selling their delicious fish dinners every Friday during Lent February 8th from 5:30p.m. to 7:00p.m. in the Family Center. Both fried fish and baked fish will be available. Take out orders will also be available. The cost is $7.00 for a regular plate; $6.00 for a child's plate or a senior's plate. Come and enjoy a delicious dinner with your fellow parishioners. No tips. No sales tax. Drink and dessert included. Where else can you get a deal like that????

Are you celebrating a wedding anniversary in 2008? We are honoring married couples who will be celebrating 25, up to 50 or 60 years that is a multiple of five (5)? Then please let us know. We will offer a Mass for your intentions on February 23, 2008 at the 5:00 p.m. Vigil Mass. You will receive a gift from the parish as well as a signed certificate from Bishop Aymond. However, we need to know by February 18th if you will be attending. Of course all married couples are invited to attend this Mass to renew your marriage vows. A reception will follow in the foyer after Mass.

ALUMNI AND FRIENDS OF THE SOUTH AUSTIN CATHOLIC SINGLES are having a gathering at St. Catherine of Siena on February 16th. It will begin with the 5:00 p.m. Mass followed by a hors d'oeuvres social in Johnson Hall and a dance from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. The registration fee is $10 at the door.
