ROADS stands for Re-Entry Outreach and Diocesan Services.
Provides one-on-one visitation to the incarcerated as well as re-entry support for those re-entering society. Introduces gospel values into the lives of those incarcerated and their families in an attempt to break the cycle of recidivism. Also provides Project Hope Bags to the homeless, resume preparation for recent releasees looking for work, among other support service referrals to different organizations for help.
Requirements: For visitation: a criminal background check; a strong relationship with God and a belief that God's grace is enough for anyone to change; an ability to offer unconditional love and a good listening ear preferred, but not required; for other services: a willingness to serve and be welcoming.
