What Should I Do With My Life? Discover Your Spiritual Gifts and God Will Show You.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We're excited to invite you to a series called Discovering God's Vision for Your Life: You and Your Spiritual Gifts. The Holy Spirit has given each of us unique gifts to carry out God's work in the world. It is not necessarily easy, however, to discover our gifts or to develop and use them efficiently. That's why we're offering this new series.

Where do you fit into Christ's body, the church? The answer lies in the unique gifts God has given you. This course will provide a renewed understanding of who God created you to be and God's design for Christian community. Participants will discover their gifts and consider how those gifts can be used in our church and community. Discovering God's Vision for Your Life: You and Your Spiritual Gifts also relates the topic of spiritual gifts to other aspects of Christianity and spiritual growth such as discipleship, community, lay ministry and grace.

The class will be taught by Sean McGuire, Pastoral Associate. Sessions will be a fast-paced combination of lecture, discussion, experiential exercises and practical application. Here are some examples of the course content:

Beginning on Thursday, September 6, the class will meet the first and third Thursday in September and October from 7:00-9:30 pm in the St. Ignatius Annex. There will be a registration fee of $15.00 to cover the cost of materials. Scholarships are available. No one will be turned away. Each session will build upon the previous sessions, so faithful attendance is necessary. Registration indicates a participant's commitment to attend all sessions. Registration deadline is August 19, 2007.
