Attention: St. Ignatius School Basketball Players

Basketball Uniforms need to be turned ASAP.

Track Coach Needed

5th - 8th Track Coach

Practices twice a week / 1 Track Meet

All interested coaches must complete a volunteer application and agree to a screening process. You may apply online using our secure eAppsDB system.

All coaches must attend a Protecting God's Children, a workshop on child sexual abuse. This workshop is part of the diocesan Ethics and Integrity in Ministry policies that were adopted in January 2002. Anyone-volunteers, paid staff or clergy-who serves minors or vulnerable adults in a parish, school or diocesan setting should attend one of these workshops. Please register ahead of time so that adequate material may be available. Materials used in the workshop include testimonies from victims and perpetrators of sexual abuse. If you have any concerns regarding your attendance at the workshop, please contact Emily Hurlimann at (512) 697-2047 to arrange an alternative arrangement to receive your training. Such inquiries shall remain confidential.

The St. Ignatius, Martyr, Catholic School 5th & 6th Grade Girls Green Basket Ball Team will be playing vs. Regents School at 6:30 PM in the Family Center. Concessions will be sold by the Booster Club.

Toros Head Coach Quin Snyder and the entire Toros team personally invite you to celebrate National Catholic Schools Week. ALL St. Ignatius Catholic School students along with their friends and family are cordially invited to join the Toros as they take on the Utah Flash.

Have the kids high-five the players during the introductions down on the court. Free autographs after the game. Free interactive Kid's Zone. Support the St. Ignatius Pep Squad and Spirit Squad as they perform during half-time of the Toros game.

Calling All B-Ball Players

This Saturday, January 12, the local Knights of Columbus will hold a free throw contest. It will take place in the family center starting at 9:00 a.m. Girls and boys, ages 10 to 14 are eligible to enter. The top three shooters will advance to a diocesan wide competition. There is no need to register prior to Saturday, interested students just show up ready to shoot.

St. Edward's University Take a Kid to the Game Night

AUSTIN, Texas - The St. Edward's University Athletic Department has set the date for its annual NCAA Basketball take a Kid to the Game day for January 10, where they will host Newman in a doubleheader at the Recreation and Convocation Center. J.J. Jumper the official Basketball Mascot of the NCAA will also be in attendance for both games.

Area youth, 14 and under, are invited to attend this special event and receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket. Youth will have the opportunity to experience the college game-day atmosphere and some exciting action as they watch the Hilltoppers compete for a win over the Jets.

The women's game will start at 6 p.m., with the men's game to follow at 8 p.m.

St. Edward's is hosting one of more than 700 games that will be played across the nation as part of the Take a Kid to the Game (TAKG) program in its 11th season. The project is a grass roots initiative that attracts the nation's youth and encourages adults to take kids to area college basketball games.  Read More »
