Ways to Give
Our parish serves the young and the young at heart with sacramental prepartion, Mass, faith formation, school ministry, and outreach to those in need. There are as many of 450 events scheduled some months in advance to accomodate our vibrant ministerial community of faith. As good stewards, we are now being asked to be men and women with and for others, to serve the greater good.
We encourage all to consider a 10 to 20 percent initial payment to being your pledge commitment. Gifts of cash are the most common and will allow the parish to address its immediate needs. Donating cash is as simple as writing a check, authorizing a charge on your credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) or automatic withdrawls through eGiving. Checks should be made payable to
St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church
, noting "Capital Campaign" in the memo section of the check.
Corporate Matching Gifts
A matching gift program provided through your employer may allow you to increase the value of your gift. Many companies match charitable gifts made by their employees, retirees, or board members. Check with your company's Human Resource department for the proper form.
Charitable Gifts of Securities
Stocks, bonds, or mutual funds that have been held for at least one year and have appreciated offer special tax advantages. You will receive a tax deduction for the full market value of the gift but you will not have to pay capital gains tax on the appreciated amount.
You may donate to the campaign by making St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church the owner and benficiary of your insurance policy.
Planned giving is the process of carefully selecting the best method and asset for making a charitable gift. Such a gift can enable you to take full advantage of the tax laws to accomplish your financial and charitable goals. Planned gifts can be made in the following ways:
- Bequests by will or living trust
- Charitable Gift Annuities
- Charitable Remainder Trusts
- Charitable Lead Trusts
- Beneficiary benefits from IRAs, pensions, or financial accounts
