The Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) was founded in 1903 and is one of the largest organizations of Catholic women in the world with 66,000 members in 1,150 courts (local chapters) in 45 states across America and in Guam, Kenya, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. CDA’s mission is to promote unity and charity through fellowship and service. Daughters strive to be “helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness.”
Court #2391 at St. Ignatius was founded in 1994 and supports the parish through fellowship, service, and monetary donations. The Catholic Daughters contribute over $10,000 per year to parish, local, state, and national charities, much of which is raised through the Court’s very popular “Christmas Coffee,” a cherished annual tradition at St. Ignatius. Court members have created and distributed over 48,000 rosaries since 1994 and hosts Living Rosaries in May and October.
