If you would like Christian faith-based encouragement and support while grieving the death of a loved one, you will find a parish grief support group to be an opportunity for listening, and caring love, by way of study, reflection, discussion and sharing. The Grief Support meetings are led by fellow parishioners who have worked through their own bereavement experience with the help of a grief support group and have received specific training with a professional counselor and grief recovery specialist. Depending on the program being used, each week will feature a compelling video seminar covering topics essential to your recovery - along with workbook study, reflection and discussion activities. All are welcome and you can start with any session.
"Grieving with Great Hope" is a five-week Catholic grief support workshop series that offers a prayerful, practical, and personal approach for anyone who is mourning the death of a loved one. If you have lost a spouse, a child (including pregnancy loss), a grandchild, a parent, another family member or a friend, you are encouraged to attend.
St. Ignatius' first meeting series of the Grieving with Great Hope grief support group is currently scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoons (prior to the 5 p.m. Vigil Mass) from 2:30-4:30 p.m. for five weeks as follows:
