Living the Way

Who are you following? We all follow (are disciples) of someone or something. So, the question isn’t, “Are you a disciple?” but, “Who or What are you a disciple of?”

If you desire to follow Jesus more closely, join us Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Family Center in June and July for a six-part series where we’ll explore what it means to be an apprentice of Jesus.

Dates:

• June 11, 18, and 25
• July 9, 16, and 23

Whether you’re new to belief in Jesus, a lifelong Catholic looking for renewal or somewhere in between, come gather with others seeking a practical guide for living the way of a disciple of Jesus. Let’s help each other on our journey as Jesus’s apprentices, living his way, the way!

FAQs

• When does each session start? When does it end?
  Each Wednesday will go from 7 to 8:30 p.m., with an optional period of prayer afterward that will end by 9 p.m.
• Are there any materials I need to bring? Is there a book?
  Bring your favorite pen, but otherwise we'll have everything you need (and we'll have pens, too, if you forget). On the first gathering, we'll have folders for everyone which you'll use for the weekly handouts that serve as a guide through each gathering, and a guide for what to do at home.
• What if I miss a Wednesday or can't make all of them?
  The first three June dates set the stage for the last three July dates. Contact us for a way to "make up" one of these early sessions.
  
• What will we do on Wednesdays?
  Each week, we'll spend time considering one element of following Jesus. During the week, we will commit to one of Jesus' practices and start the next week with a discussion about that practice.
• Will this be 1.5 hours of lectures?
  No. We'll have time for teaching, reading Scripture, and consulting our Tradition. You'll have time for individual reflection, table talk, and learning from the large group. We'll incorporate prayer, time for questions, and short videos to help us better understand our topic for the week.
