NOTRE DAME, Ind. - With great joy and thanksgiving, the United States Province of the Congregation of Holy Cross announces the upcoming ordination of four of our members on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. (EDT; 1:00 p.m. Central) at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.
The Most Reverend Arthur J. Colgan, C.S.C., D.D., Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of the Diocese of Chosica (Peru), will confer the Sacrament of Holy Orders on Rev. Mr. Felipe Campos Reséndez, C.S.C., Rev. Mr. Robert Lisowski, C.S.C., Rev. Mr. Geoffrey Mooney, C.S.C., and Rev. Mr. David Smith, C.S.C. as priests in the Congregation of Holy Cross.
On September 4, 2020, Deacons Campos, Lisowski, Mooney, and Smith professed perpetual vows of poverty, chastity and obedience and committed themselves to the common life and apostolic work of the Congregation of Holy Cross. They were ordained Holy Cross deacons the next day (September 5th) in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
"Thanks be to God for these good and holy men," said Fr. Bill Lies, C.S.C., Provincial Superior. "Holy Cross rejoices with Felipe, Robert, Geoffrey, and David as they begin this important ministry. We ask our Mother Mary to watch over them as priests for the Catholic Church."
Following the Ordination Mass, Fr. Felipe will preside at his firs Mass on Sunday, April 11th at 11am from the Basicilca of the Sacred Heart.
